Lottery acceptances are preliminary and do not become final until BCCS receives all necessary documentation in the registration packet. The completed registration packet must be returned within two (2) weeks of notification or the student’s seat may be offered to the next child on the waiting list.
Applicants for kindergarten must turn five (5) years old by December 31, 2021 in order to be eligible for the lottery.
In addition to their basic registration packet, notified first grade applicants must submit previous academic records as well as a final report card showing whether or not they were promoted to the next grade.

Yes! Any student residing in New York State may attend Buffalo Commons.
Kindergarten and 1st grade. We will grow by one grade per year until reaching K-8.
Yes. Free bus transportation is available for all students.
Yes. Each grade at Buffalo Commons provides co-taught classrooms where students with IEPs can flourish while receiving necessary services and supports.
Yes. There is a dedicated ENL teacher at each developmental level. These faculty members provide comprehensive support including push-in and pull-out services.

Yes. Students have a robust PE and arts program throughout the school day and will have access to plentiful clubs and after school activities.
The school will be located in the city of Buffalo. We are planning to be located just north of the medical campus, but will finalize that in the coming weeks.
